The Destin fishing charter boat Breakaway is a 49 foot sportfisher. It was built near Destin in 1971 by Thompson Brothers. It is powered by twin Detroit Diesel 671's and runs at about 10 knots. We have plenty of room for fishing on the back deck and for taking a break inside between fishing spots. We have an air conditioned cabin and a clean restroom. The Breakaway was built for a nice comfortable ride with plenty of room for the passengers. We are Coast Guard certified for 10 passengers. The Destin charter fishing boat Breakaway has been in the same slip for almost 20 years from when the docks were known as the Kelly docks until the present time as Harborwalk Marina.
The Destin fishing charter boat Breakaway is equipped with the latest of radar, GPS, loran, EPIRB, VHF Radio and all the safety equipment that exceeds USCG standards. The charter fishing equipment is Penn reels and rods with plenty to spare.
